Raipur Desi Vada Paav: Rajendra Sindhe’s cart located in Santoshi Nagar, Raipur is famous for its ‘Desi Bada’. This breakfast made of urad dal, chilli and special chutis is available in 6 pieces for just ₹ 20.
Raipur. There is a small cart in Santoshi Nagar area of Raipur, but the desi found there is ruling the hearts of the big people. This cart in front of Krishna Nagar Tarun Bazar is known for Samosa, Bread Chap, Mirchi Bhajia and Aloo Bhajia, but the special identity here is big. The director of the cart Rajendra Kumar Sindhe says that people now come here especially from far-flung areas to eat big food.
Rajendra says that for the last two and a half years, he has been running this cart. During this time, the most demand has been of Desi Bada. They sell only desi big up to about 1500 rupees daily. At the same time, by mixing the rest of the breakfast like Samosa, Mirchi Bhajia and Bread Chap, the daily income becomes up to 4 thousand rupees. Samosa gets 2 nos for 20 rupees, Mirchi Bhajia 5 nos for 20 rupees, and potato Bhajia for 20 rupees. Getting delicious breakfast at such cheap prices also attracts people.
This taste journey started with a small cart has now become an identity. Small businessmen like Rajendra Sindhe are proving that if there is taste and quality, customers automatically come. In the local cuisine of Raipur, Desi Bada is still on the tongue of the people and its demand is on the peak in this season.
