  • Bottle gourd (grated) – 2 cups
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Mawa/Khoya – 1 cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup (as per taste)
  • desi ghee – 2 tbsp
  • cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • dry fruits – Cashews, almonds, pistachios (for garnish)

Method of preparation:

1. Preparation of bottle gourd

Wash the bottle gourd, peel it and grate it. Squeeze out excess water so that there is no moisture in the barfi.

Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add bottle gourd to it and fry on medium flame for 10 minutes until the raw smell goes away.
