Bottle Gourd Barfi Recipe – Combination of taste and health
Required Materials:
- Bottle gourd (grated) – 2 cups
- Milk – 1 cup
- Mawa/Khoya – 1 cup
- Sugar – ½ cup (as per taste)
- desi ghee – 2 tbsp
- cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- dry fruits – Cashews, almonds, pistachios (for garnish)
Method of preparation:

Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add bottle gourd to it and fry on medium flame for 10 minutes until the raw smell goes away.

Now add milk and cook while stirring continuously. When the milk starts drying, add mawa and mix well.

Now add sugar and cook until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the pan. Then add cardamom powder.
