Kumaoni Garhwali Pastries: Varun worked as a chef at Taj Hotel. Then thought of carrying forward his ancestral work with two brothers. His bakery’s rusk and butter pistachio biscuits are also famous.
Dada laid the foundation
Varun Gulati says that we want to give hilly taste to people through bakery products by promoting local things of Uttarakhand. So he started creating Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari pastries. According to Varun, we started creating a flavored pastry of Buransh because Buransh’s juice is very much liked on the mountains. Burhans is our kingdom tree, which is in the Garhwal region, so we named it Garhwali pastry. You can taste millets and velut flavored pastries here in the winter season. We have called it Jaunsari pastry. We are preparing many types of biscuits from millets. Almond-Bajra, Ragi-Choko chips and Mandua-jaggery biscuits are also being prepared.
Foreign flavor in native style
According to Varun Gulati, we are making products by making a mixer of flavor and indigenous taste abroad. We also make products in seasonal fruits flavors. Bal sweets are very much liked in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, so we also started creating Bal Sweet Flaverate Pastry.
