Special batter is made to make sour jalebi. To make special batter, a solution of flour and sweet soda is made and kept for a day to turn sour. Next day, the jalebi batter is prepared well by adding good quality colours.

Then strain the jalebi through a cloth or piping bag.

Fill the jalebi batter in a piping bag or sauce bottle. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a zip-lock bag by cutting the corner of it. While rotating the batter in hot oil in a circular motion, shape it into a jalebi. After the jalebi is cooked, pick it up and put it in the syrup. After this your sweet and sour jalebi will be ready.
