Vineet Gaur told in a conversation with Local 18 that for 130 years, his family has been making dumplings and chillies big for four consecutive years. He said that Raja Umed Singh ji of Shahpura was also fond of his grandfather’s dumplings. At that time, he was given a rupee every month from the royal family, instead of which he used to send dumplings in Khas ‘Bogra Khas’. When the king returned from hunting, dumplings had become a part of his tradition.
Customers also became fond of dumplings
Vineet Gaur told that even in today’s era, many officers become so accustomed to his taste after eating his dumplings that even after transfer, they take the dumplings from here. Former District Collector Manju Rajpal and former Chief Medical and Health Officer have also been his regular customers. He told that this dumplings are the confluence of taste, tradition and heritage, which makes Shahpura different from other cities.
