Masala tea powder found in the market has many times artificial flavors or preservatives, which are not good for your health. Homemade tea masala is completely pure and you can add or decrease things according to your choice.
Saunth (Dry Ginger Powder) – 4 tablespoons
Cardamom (Green)-15-20
Cinnamon Stick-3 pieces (1-2 inch)
Black pepper – 2 teaspoons
Clove – 1 tsp
Nutmeg – 1/2 small piece
Dry basil leaves (optional) – 1 teaspoon
White chili (optional) – 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. First peel cardamom and take out its grains.
2. Cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, cardamom seeds and nutmeg on low flame for 1-2 minutes dry so that their flavor and fragrance comes out well.
3. Now after cooling, grind them in a mixer grinder. If you want, you can also keep a little coarsely.
4. Now add dry ginger powder and dry basil leaves.
5. Mix all the spices well and fill it in an airtight container.
You can use this tea spice in your daily tea. Just add masala tea powder to the water while making tea, then add milk and tea leaves. Mix the sugar as per taste. Only 1/4 teaspoon masala is enough for a cup of tea.
