It is not necessary that you make it only during fasts and festivals, you can make a lot of it at home anytime and eat it as a snack. Thekua can be made by adding both sugar and jaggery to the flour. Wheat flour- 4-5 cups
Powdered sugar – 1 cup or as per taste
Ghee- 500 grams
Cardamom powder- half teaspoon
Water or milk as per need
Fennel- 1 tsp
Raisins- 10-12
Dry coconut – grated or finely chopped
Method of making Thekua
You can also make thekua with flour or maida. You can add sugar or jaggery in it, both taste good. Here we are telling you the recipe of Thekua made from wheat flour and sugar. First of all take flour in a vessel. Add fennel, coconut, sugar, cardamom powder and 1-2 spoons of ghee in it. Now mix it well. Now add water little by little and knead the dough. Keep this dough hard otherwise thekua will not become crisp. Now keep it covered for 30 minutes.
