To make Karachi Halwa, first make a thick solution by mixing a bowl and water in a bowl. Keep in mind that there is no lump in it. Now make sugar syrup by adding sugar and water to a bowl. If the syrup of a wire is made, then the solution of the shrine has to be added to it slowly. Stir it on low flame until it becomes transparent. Now add some ghee and keep mixing. As the ghee starts, the pudding will start shining.
Karachi pudding is ready in 1-2 hours
Now add chopped dry fruits, cardamom powder and color or saffron. When the pudding starts leaving the pan, then put it in a ghee plate and spread it. After cooling, it has to be cut into square pieces and then it can be served to the guests. It takes about 1-2 hours to make this halwa.

Mukesh Khatri, who makes Karachi Halwa, tells Local 18 that Karachi Halwa does not spoil even 5 to 6 months without freeze. This is the reason why people send it across the border as a gift and there is tremendous demand among Indians settled abroad. This pudding is sold from Rs 600 to Rs 1200.
