Atta Naan Recipe: If you make Paratha-Puri for dinner or lunch during every festival, then this time make soft and fluffy homemade Atta Naan. Yes, to make this you will neither need oven nor flour. You can serve it with any gravy. See the easy way to make it.
Making naan at home is not difficult. All it takes is a little preparation and the right ingredients. Homemade Atta Naan Recipe, If you want to make something new and tasty on the occasion of Diwali, then instead of paratha-puri, try soft and fluffy homemade flour naan at home. It is a traditional South Asian flatbread, usually cooked in a tandoor. It swells quickly in the heat of the tandoor and its texture becomes very soft and slightly crispy. Naan goes perfect with all types of gravies, be it chicken tikka masala or any veg curry.

Ingredients-
- Lukewarm water – ½ cup
- Sugar – 2 tsp
- Active dry yeast – 1 packet
- Flour – 1 ¾ cups (a little extra for rolling on the surface)
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Full-fat Greek yogurt or curd – ½ cup
- Oil or ghee – for cooking
Method of preparation (Directions)-
step 1:
Mix lukewarm water and sugar in a small bowl. Now put yeast on it and keep it for 8 minutes, until it becomes foamy.
Step 2:
Add flour and salt in a large vessel. Now add yeast mixture and curd into it. Knead the dough while mixing with a spatula. When the dough starts becoming a little hard, take it out on a clean surface and knead it with hands for 5-7 minutes, so that a smooth dough is ready.
Step 4:
After the dough has risen, divide it into 8 equal parts. Roll each portion gently into a 7-inch round shape. Keep all the naans covered with a cloth so that they do not dry out.
Step 5:
Now heat a large non-stick pan or pan on medium flame. Apply a little oil in it. Add the naan one by one and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until it rises, turns light golden and blistered. If needed, add some more oil in between.
Serving Suggestions-
This naan goes perfect with butter chicken, paneer butter masala, chickpeas, dal makhani or any curry. If you wish, serve it with garlic butter or cumin ghee.
If you do not have a tandoor or oven, then naan can also be cooked covered on a pan. This also makes it soft and fluffy. So this Diwali, skip Paratha-Puri, and make soft homemade Naan, that too tastes like a restaurant, at home!
