If you are bored of eating dal in the house, then today we are going to tell you such a delicious recipe of lentils from which you can prepare chana masala dal.

To make gram masala dal in the house, we will need gram dal, onion, tomato, green chillies, coriander, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin, desi ghee and salt.

To make gram masala dal, first clean the lentils thoroughly and then soak it in water for about 2 hours. If you want, you can also boil the lentils lightly to save time so that it cooks quickly and becomes soft.

After this, add soaked lentils in the cooker and add cloves, bay leaves and big cardamom and mix well. Then close the lid of the cooker and let it cook on medium flame till two whistles come, so that the lentils melt well and the taste of the spices is absorbed in it.

When the onion becomes light golden, add finely chopped green chillies and tomatoes. Now add a little salt to it and cook the tomatoes till they become soft. After this, add coriander powder, red chili powder and cumin powder and fry the spices well. When the ghee starts separating from the spices, add boiled lentils and let it cook on medium flame for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot by adding green coriander over it.

When the spices start releasing oil and cook well, then add boiled gram dal and mix well. Now let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes so that the taste of spices in the lentils is well absorbed. Finally add finely chopped coriander and serve hot gram masala dal. This lentils look very tasty with rice, roti or paratha.

When the lentils cook well with water and the spices dissolve completely in it, then turn off the gas. Now add a little green coriander over the top and if you want, you can also give a spoon of a teaspoon of desi ghee. This will increase the taste of lentils even more. Your gram masala dal is ready. Serve it with hot rice or roti and enjoy the taste.

After cooking the lentils well, remove the lid from the pan and mix it with green coriander leaves on top of the lentils. In this way your delicious gram masala dal is ready, which you can enjoy with roti, paratha or rice.
