Why is dal paratha special?
The lentils are rich in protein and when it is added to the paratha, it becomes even more nutritious and healthy. The dhaba style dal paratha is crisp from outside and soft from inside. In this, mix taste of spices and lentils attracts everyone. The most important thing is that to make it, you do not have to make any frills separately, just have to use the remaining lentils correctly.
Stir
Wheat flour – 2 cups
Finely chopped green chillies – 2
Chopped onion – 1 medium
Green coriander – 2 teaspoons
Ginger-garlic paste-1 teaspoon
Cumin – 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt – as per taste
Oil or ghee – to bake
Method of preparation-
-First, add wheat flour in a large bowl.
Now add the remaining lentils to it. If the lentils are more thin, then add a little flour, so that the balance remains while kneading.
After this, add green chillies, onions, coriander, ginger-garlic paste and all spices to the dough.
-There will be no need for water to knead the dough due to the fruit. Knead it well and keep it covered for 10 minutes.
Now heat the pan and make dough balls and roll it down.
Put the ghee or oil on both sides and roast the ghee till it becomes golden and crisp.
Serve the dhaba style dal paratha with hot curd, pickle or butter. It can be eaten with tea in breakfast or also at dinner.
These tips are special-
If there are more spices in the flour, then add less spices to the flour.
-Even if there are remaining tomatoes or green vegetables in the dal, it can be used in parathas.
-If you want to make the paratha more healthy, then add a little gram flour or multigrain flour to the wheat flour.
