  • Grind stale dal-rice lightly in a mixer and keep a little coarse.
  • Heat the oil in the pan, add green chillies and ginger and fry it lightly.
  • Add ground lentils and rice and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add water and salt and cook, until the lentils and rice becomes soft and light upma.
  • Add green coriander and lemon juice on top. Serve hot
