So here is the easy and tasty recipe of Pav Bhaji which you can make at home, exactly in Mumbai street style, so what is the delay.
Pav Bhaji Recipe (for 4 people)
Ingredients (for Bhaji):
- Potatoes – 2 medium (boiled and mashed)
- Cauliflower – 1 cup (finely chopped)
- Peas – ½ cup
- Carrots – ½ cup (finely chopped)
- Capsicum – ½ cup (finely chopped)
- Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
- Tomato – 3 medium (finely chopped)
- Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Green Chilli – 2 (Finely chopped)
- Pav Bhaji Masala – 2 tablespoons
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 4 teaspoons
- Salt – as per taste
- Butter – 3 tablespoons
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Green coriander – finely chopped
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Material (for Pav):
- Pav – 6–8
- Butter – to cook the pav
Method of preparation:
Preparing bhaji:
- Heat oil and butter in a pan.
- Add onion and fry till it becomes golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili, fry for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until it becomes soft.
- Add spices (pav bhaji masala, red chili, turmeric, salt) and mix.
- Add all the vegetables and add some water and cook till it becomes soft.
- Mash the vegetables well with masher.
- Add green coriander and lemon juice and mix.
Bake bakes:
- Cut the pav from the middle.
- Heat butter on the pan and bake the pav till it becomes golden from both sides.
How to serve:
- Remove the hot bhaji in a plate.
- Add butter and green coriander over above.
- Serve the pav, chopped onion and lemon pieces together.
