Lauki Halwa Recipe: Mithila region is known for its diverse and delicious dishes and gourd pudding is one of them. This pudding is not only wonderful in taste, but also healthy. It can be easily made at home. Gourd pudding is specially made on fasting, festivals or special occasions and it holds an important place in the Kitchen of Mithila. The specialty of this dish is that first eat like halwa and if you survive, then deposit barfi from it.

The method of making gourd pudding is slightly different from the rest of the halvs, but its taste is tremendous. Many people first eat it as halwa and then later collect the barfi of the same mixture which does not spoil for a long time. Whatever the way, it looks equally delicious in every form.

Gourd is a vegetable that gives light to digest and cools the body. Many nutrients like vitamins, fiber are found in it, which are very beneficial for the body. It is also very easy to make gourd pudding and when you want to eat something sweet and delicious, it is a good option.

To make gourd pudding you will need the material below:
– 2 cups of Gourd Gourd
– Lost 4 cups of milk or a cup
– Chinese as per taste
– 5 teaspoons of ghee
– Half a teaspoon of cardamom powder
– Sliced dry fruits and raisins

To make gourd pudding, first heat ghee in a pan, then add grated gourd to it and fry it on low flame for 5-7 minutes. When the raw smell comes out in it, add milk to it and let the gourd cook in the milk for a few minutes until the milk dries. Now add sugar as per taste and keep stirring the halwa. Cook it on low heat, then add cardamom powder over it and mix well. Now add chopped dry fruits and raisins to it and keep cooking well, until the pudding starts leaving the ghee. Khoya can also be added to the place of milk. Turn off the gas and serve the halwa and serve the dry fruits on top and serve it. You can also change this into barfi, just dry the halwa a little more, then spread it in the plate and spread it. When dry, cut the barfi shape.
