Traditional modak is rich in sugar and jaggery, which is definitely delicious but not healthy for everyone. This time you can make sugar-free modak at home, in which coconut, jaggery powder or stevia will be used instead of white sugar.

It takes barely 25–30 minutes to make a modak without sugar. In this recipe, a mixture of flour flour and coconut-jaggery is used. The shape of modak can be given with mold and if there is no mold, it is easy to shape with hand.

First of all, knead the flour by adding water and keep it covered for a while. On the other hand, heat the ghee in a pan and fry the coconut and add jaggery powder or stevia to it and mix it well. Now prepare the mixture by adding cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits to it.

Take small dough of flour and fill this mixture in it and give the shape of modak. After this, steam them and cook them for 15 minutes and add saffron and ghee on top.
