Faridabad: If you are fond of Tandoori Kulche and are thinking of eating to Amritsar, then stop. There is a shop at BK Chowk in Faridabad where you will get real Punjabi taste. This shop has remained the choice of people for the last 14 years. There is a crowd of customers from 10 am to 10 pm. The interesting thing is that people come here to eat Kulche here not only from Faridabad or Delhi-NCR but also from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
There are many varieties of kulche
In a conversation with Local18 Channel, shopkeeper Neeraj said that he has many types of kulcha available-Masala Kulcha, Mix Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha, Potato-onion Kulcha and Cabbage Kulcha. Chole or Rajma is served with these kulchs. Neeraj says that potato-onion kulcha is available for Rs 60, spice, cabbage and mix kulcha for Rs 70 and Paneer Kulcha is available for Rs 100.
People feel crowded
Rajma-rice is also served for 60 rupees. They further say that only 90 percent of the customers prefer potato-onion kulcha. About 150 plates are sold daily and 10 people work at the shop. The taste of the shop can be gauged from the fact that people come here many times a month. Brijesh Singh, a resident of Faridabad, says, “I come here 20 days a month. The taste is amazing. Chur-chur non in Faridabad started from this shop. The owners have definitely changed but the taste has been the same. Ever since I am eating, it has remained my first choice.”
People come from far and wide
Rajkumar Tiwari, a customer from Mathura, says, “I have been coming to this shop for the last 14 years. Whenever I come to Faridabad, I definitely eat the Kulcha here. There is no such taste anywhere else.” This small shop of BK Chowk is competing with big food outlets in Faridabad today. If you have not tasted the kulcha here, then believe me, you have not yet known the real taste of Faridabad.
