He further explained that when tomatoes and onions melt more than half, then about 60 percent of them are removed and kept separate. Cumin, bay leaf and some standing spices are added to the remaining part in the pan, which causes light fragrance to it.

He further informed that after cooking for some time, that part should also be taken separately and grinded in the mixer. Raveena says that these steps make this vegetable separate from the rest of the normal onion-tomato vegetables, because it gives a special thickness and spicy fragrance to the taste.

He further explained that now the same pan is rehearsed and some cumin is added to it. When cumin seeds start to crackle, then already ground tomato-onion paste is added. It is cooked for a few minutes on light flame.
