Sour-sweet pineapple chutney recipe
Material:
Pineapple (chopped) – 1 cup
Chinese – 1/2 cup
White vinegar or apple vinegar – 1/4 cup
Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon (do more or more at will)
salt to taste
Ginger (grated) – 1 teaspoon
Garlic (chopped or paste) – 1 teaspoon
Water – 1/2 cup
Black cumin (roasted) – 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Green chili (finely chopped) – 1 (if a little bitter sauce)
Method of preparation:
Add pineapple pieces, sugar, vinegar, and water to a pan and cook on medium flame.
When the pineapple softens and the sugar dissolves completely, add ginger, garlic, red chili powder, salt, black cumin, black pepper and green chillies.
Cook the mixture on low flame till thick, keep stirring in between so that the sauce does not stick to the pan.
After the chutney thick, turn off the heat and let it cool.
Put the cold chutney in a clean jar and keep it in the fridge. This sauce is good for about 1-2 weeks.
Method of serving:
Serve it with sandwiches, grilled cheese, samosas or fryed cheese.
This sauce becomes a perfect dip for party and festival.
