It is a popular dish which is considered to be the power house of tribal proteins. The process of making it is very easy. During the monsoon month, tribal people eat it with great passion. This is a type of cheela.

Raveena Kachhap, a tribal woman from Hazaribagh, says that this dish has been part of her kitchen for generations. Fish eggs give strength to the body and are considered nutritious food for children. This is the reason that when breeding of fish is done in rivers and ponds every year, dishes made from eggs appear in the house of household.

Easy method of making

He further explained that the process of making it is very simple. First of all, fish eggs are washed thoroughly and mashed. Then mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mustard paste, salt as per taste and ginger garlic paste and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After which the mixture is mixed well by adding gram flour, onion, green chillies, equal to eggs. Then on the pan, it is spread in mustard oil in a round shape and gold is baked from both sides. The prepared scream is served with tomato sauce or green chutney.

The special thing is that tribal families cook it in mustard oil. Mustard oil is easier to digest along with enhancing taste and aroma. This dish is not only wonderful in taste, but is also considered healthy. This dish is very popular during the monsoon month.
