Dulal Mahato, who is selling bamboo Karil in front of City Park in Sector-1 of Bokaro, said that he comes here with this vegetable from Hariyal Goda village of Chandankari block, 50 km away. It is a very unique item and is found only during the monsoon. People also have a lot of demand. Apart from vegetables, it is also used for pickles and marmalade, which is very wonderful in taste. He told that its price is Rs 200 per kg. 15 to 20 kg sold daily are sold.
Regarding the recipe of Bamboo Karil’s vegetable, Dulal told that first of all, wash it thoroughly and cut thin slices. Then add turmeric to light water and boil it twice and clean it. This removes smell (smell). Then heat mustard oil in the pan and add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chillies, garlic and onion. Add boiled bamboo karil and add turmeric, salt and other spices and fry well. Finally add chopped tomatoes, add some water and cook on low heat. After this, you can eat hot with rice or roti.
At the same time, Kapil, a customer who came to buy the vegetable of Karil, told that this vegetable is eagerly waiting in his house throughout the year. It tastes with rice as if mutton also fails. Due to being available for a few days in a year, there is a lot of demand.
