Morning breakfast is considered most important for energy throughout the day. If breakfast is light, nutritious and tasty, then the balance between health and taste is maintained. Today we are telling you the method of making healthy moong dal cheela, which is a protein-rich and easy-to-make dish.

To make Moong Dal Cheela, first take 1 cup of yellow Moong Dal and soak it in water for 3-4 hours. After soaking, filter the lentils and put them in the mixer and prepare a smooth batter by adding some water to it. There can be a slight coarse texture in this batter so that the cheela becomes crisp.

Now add ginger, green chilli and a little garlic paste to the prepared solution to enhance the taste. Also add vegetables like finely chopped onion, tomato, green coriander and carrot. Add salt, turmeric and red chilli powder and beat the solution well. If desired, you can also add celery or cumin for taste and nutrition.

Now heat the pan and apply light oil on it. Pour a ladleful of the batter, spread it in a round shape and cook until it turns golden from both the sides. Cooking on medium flame makes cheela crispy from outside and soft from inside. Similarly, prepare the remaining cheelas also.

Serve hot moong dal cheela with green chutney or curd. This is a great option for breakfast, tiffin or light dinner.

Moong dal cheela is rich in protein and fiber. It is easy to digest and also useful for those who want to lose weight. Consuming it regularly provides energy to the body and keeps the stomach full for a long time.
