Damboo made for Bholenath in Jharkhand
In Jharkhand, Dumboo is specially made in Sawan. Apart from Jharkhand, in eastern India, it is also offered to Bholenath as offerings. It is prepared by applying steam without fried, so it is healthy sweet. It is very soft and light.
Rice flour – 1 cup
Grandcise Coconut – 1 Cup
Grown jaggery – 3/4 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Water – according to the need
How to make dumb: First of all, put grated coconut and jaggery in a pan and cook on a low flame on the gas for 4-5 minutes. Mix cardamom powder in it and turn off the gas and keep it cool. Now knead the rice flour soft with lukewarm water. Make small balls of it and fill the mixture of coconut-jaggery in the middle and close it like modak or in round shape. Now put a steamer on the gas and boil water in it. Inside it, steam 10-15 minutes by placing a dumb on leaves or cotton cloth. Finally, offer ghee on top and offer it to Lord Shiva.
Patishpta is a very famous dessert in Bengal. It is also made from rice. This traditional dessert is specially made on Makar Sankranti, but you can make it in the month of Sawan.
Ingredients to make a husband:
Rice flour – 1 cup
Flour – 1/4 cup
Milk – 2 cups
Ghee – to cook
Coconut (grated) – 1 cup
Date jaggery – 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Ella is adamant
Ella Adi of Kerala is a very tasty dessert. It is made on banana leaf. It is considered auspicious to offer this dessert to God.
Rice flour – 1 cup
Water – 1 cup
Salt – a pinch
Coconut (grated) – 1 cup
Jaggery – 3/4 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Banana leaves – chopped into pieces
How to make Ella Adar: First of all, knead rice flour with lukewarm water and salt. Now take a pan and cook jaggery and coconut in it. When this mixture dries slightly, mix cardamom powder in it. Now cut the banana leaves into pieces and heat it on a low flame and soften it. Spread some flour on every leaf, fill coconut and jaggery and turn half. Now cook it in a steamer for 10-12 minutes. If the Ella is ready, offer it to God with leaves.
