Essential material – for sago barfi
Sago (sago pearl) – 1 cup
Milk powder – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup (ground)
Coconut Burada – ½ cup
Ghee – 3 tablespoons
Cardamom Powder – 1 teaspoon
Water – as required
Easy method of making
1. First wash the sago thoroughly and soak it in water for 4-5 hours. After soaking, filter the excess water and dry the sago.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan. Add soaked sago and roast it on low flame. Keep roasting until the sago becomes mild transparent. This will remove rawness.
4. After this, add coconut sawdust and mix well. This will also taste coconut in Barfi and texture will also be good.
6. Add cardamom powder, which will make the taste of barfi even better. If all the ingredients are mixed well then turn off the heat.
8. When the mixture is completely set, cut into the desired shape, square or round.
You can serve the guests by decorating the prepared sago barfi in a plate. Light sweetness, the fragrance of coconut and the fun texture of sago will definitely like it to the eaters.
