  • Desi Ghee – 3 tablespoons

  • Water – 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder – half a teaspoon
  • Cashew, almonds, pistachios – 2 tablespoons (chopped)
  • Raisins – 1 tablespoon
  • Saffron (if you want) – some threads
  • How to make sago pudding step by step

    • 1. First wash the sago thoroughly and soak it in water for 2-3 hours. This will swell it.
    • 2. Now put desi ghee in a pan and heat it.
    • 3. Add cashews, almonds and raisins to it and fry it till it becomes light golden and take out separately.
    • 4. Add soaked sago in the same ghee and fry 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
    • 5. Now add 2 cups of water and mix well.
    • 6. Sago will start to become transparent and soft in a short time.
    • 7. Now add sugar to it and keep stirring well. The sugar will dissolve and become completely juicy.
    • 8. Then add cardamom powder and saffron.
