Things that will be needed to make chilli pickle are easily found in the house or in the market. For this you need 1 kg green thick chilli, about 250 grams of mustard oil, 4 tablespoons of fennel powder, 4 tablespoons mustard powder, 2 tablespoons fenugreek seeds, 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp asafetida, salt (about 100 grams) and 1 cup of salt (about 100 grams) and 1 cup of lemon juice helps to protect the pickles for long.

Method of preparation: First of all wash the green chillies thoroughly and wipe them with a cloth and cut them lightly in length. Now prepare all the dry spices (fennel, mustard, fenugreek, turmeric, asafetida and salt) and prepare these spices inside the chili. After this, add mustard oil to a pan and heat it lightly. When the oil cools down, add lemon juice and spices filled chili. Mix well and fill it in a clean and dry glass jar and keep the pickle in the sun for 3–4 days so that it is set well.

Things to keep in mind: Always remove chilli pickle with clean and dry hand. Pickle jar should be absolutely dry, otherwise pickle may deteriorate. Keep showing the pickle from time to time.
