For the first time in South Asia, Gulab Jamun was introduced by Turkish invaders of Central Asia. Gulab Jamun is actually Persian name. In it, gul means flowers and berries means water. In South Asia, it is known by the name of Gulab Jamun but in Arabia and Iran it is called Lukmat al Qadi. Lukmat al Qadi is made from flour. Flour tablets are first fried in oil, then immersed in honey syrup, then sugar is sprinkled on top of it, but the ways of making it in different cities in India are almost the same.

He further said that new experiments have been done in our country by taking sweets. We Bihar people also made a lot of experiments about their taste. When Gulab Jamun came to Bihar from Iran, the people here used it and gave it the form of Panatua. At that time, Bihar and Bengal were simultaneously. After the partition, it also came to Bihar and it settled in the hearts of people from Magadha to Mithila. Actually, Panatua is a different form of black berries, which is very famous in Bihar. This flavor also asks us to be proud of our experiments. The size of ‘Panatua’, which is made from mawa, sugar and milk, is small, but in the Test, he is far ahead of his Gulab Jamun.
