Raipur. As soon as the month of Sawan is over, a huge crowd can be seen in non-veg stalks and shops installed in different areas of the city. One of these is the Dewangan Chicken Center under the Changorabhatha overbridge, which has been famous for its unique taste and chicken chilli in desi style for the last 30 years.

The shop operator Rajesh Dewangan says that he has been making this dish for almost three decades. He claims that whoever eats chicken chilli once here, he never forgets its taste and comes back again. This is the reason that customers reach here not only from Raipur city but also from nearby districts. The shop time is from 2 pm to 10 pm, but between 7 and 8 pm, there is no place to set foot here.

Rajesh says that his chicken Chilli is not only wonderful in taste but also pocket friendly. Customers can enjoy this dish for just 50 rupees. About 15 kg chicken chilli is sold daily, which tells their popularity.

Make special recipes at home
Rajesh Dewangan also shared his special recipe, which will bring water to anyone. They say that the chicken is first mixed with corn floor powder and eggs and fryed in oil. Then add onion, capsicum, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, garam masala, chaat masala and some spicy ‘secret masala’ and fry well on the hot pan. After this, add fryed chicken and wrap it in spices, which makes both its taste and aroma wonderful.
