Raipur News: Many types of breakfast are prepared in the hotel but Pyaagi Vada is the most popular. Its demand is so high that about 100 pieces of Pyagi Vada are fried at a time and thousands of plates are sold in a day.

Something similar can be seen in the Sethji Hotel located at Chhilpavan Chowk of Jhalap in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, where a long queue of customers forms in the morning. The most special breakfast here is Pyagi Vada, which is widely discussed in the surrounding villages and among the travelers passing through the highway. Hotel operator Deepak Aggarwal tells Local 18 that his hotel is located on Kolkata National Highway in Raipur. It has been about three and a half years since it has been operating. During this period, the hotel has made its mark due to its delicious taste, low rates and cleanliness. Breakfast starts being served here from 6:30 in the morning and there is movement of customers throughout the day.

Many customers like to eat pyagi vada with fried green chillies and onions. Sweet chutney is also served in the hotel as per the demand of the customers. All this is available for just Rs 20 per plate, in which two Pyagi Vadas are served. Due to its great taste at a low price, this breakfast has become the first choice of the local people as well as travelers.
Pyaagi Vada Recipe
The recipe of Pyagi Vada is also very easy. To make it, onion, red vegetables, salt and a little soda are mixed and whipped. After this, this mixture is molded into the shape of vada and fried in hot oil for about 20 minutes. After being prepared, it is immediately served to the customers so that both the crispness and taste remain intact.

Hotel operators say that every day about a thousand customers come here to have breakfast or to collect parcels. Truck drivers passing through the highway, nearby shopkeepers and students are also regular customers here. The popularity of the hotel can be gauged from the fact that frying of Pyagi Vada continues continuously from morning till evening and thousands of plates are sold every day.
