This special dessert is made by 7 hours of hard work
Halwai Jamal Bhai, who has been making this dessert for years. He says that it starts with fresh milk. Milk is cooked on low flame for hours, until it becomes thick and lost. Then this milk is spread on the flat surface and a layer of bad and cream is put on it. After this, this layer of milk is cut into short long pieces and rolled like a bed. Finally it is decorated with cashew and pistachio. The entire process takes about 7 to 8 hours.
This dessert is turned like a bed, hence it is called ‘bed closed’. It is fully made by hand and its size, weight and taste are different from the rest of the sweets. About 12 to 13 liters of milk makes only 2 to two and a half kilos of sweets. Its price in the market ranges from ₹ 800 to ₹ 900 per kg. This dessert is well liked especially on festivals, weddings and special occasions.

The demand for this sweets is not only in Bharatpur but also in Agra, Mathura, Delhi, Jaipur and abroad. Its real traditional taste is found only in Bharatpur Mishthan Bhandar.
